“I’m still not sure I can believe it.” Timo sighed and nuzzled his nose into the fine, moist hairs at the nape of David’s neck.  Soft fingertips ran in restless lines from the shell of David’s ear to his hipbone and back while David shivered and tried not to squirm away.

Timo had submitted the band’s information and music to a site run by one of their favorite rock musicians, and just today, Timo had found out that the guy had really liked Panik.  When he’d read the entry in the musicians blog, he’d been so happy, his voice had broken when he’d video taped the page. This was a huge international opportunity for the band, and Timo and David had been beside themselves with excitement.

David grabbed Timo’s hand as it skimmed over his waist for the third time and held it flat against his skin, still moist from their earlier love-making.  Pulling Timo’s hand up his chest, he kissed each knuckle in turn before pressing his swollen lips into Timo’s palm.

“Why not? You know we deserve this; we’re good.”  David whispered, though he knew it was silly; he’d been quite loud not a half-hour earlier when Timo had thrust into him hard, making David shudder and arch into his lover.

“Mhm, we’re good because of you.” Timo sucked wet, open-mouthed kisses to the sweaty skin of David’s shoulder.

David snorted softly and pressed his ass playfully back into Timo’s groin, his voice deepening as he felt Timo’s hardness against him for the second time that night.

“Shut up. You know it’s all of us in this.” David squeezed his eyes shut and reveled in the feeling of Timo pressed against him.  No matter how many years they were together, no matter how many times they had lain like this, loved like this, fallen asleep like this, David would never get enough of feeling all of Timo’s warm skin against his.

“It is all of us, I know.” Timo bit softly into David’s shoulder, grinning when David gasped and reached down to smack Timo’s thigh.  Licking at the offended flesh under his lips, Timo began to rock his hardening cock into David’s crease.

David hummed at that, but reached back to still Timo’s hip.

“No?”  Timo rested his forehead against the back of David’s head.

“Just not now. Tired.” David’s reply was sleepy, and Timo knew his lover would be dead to the world before long.  He dropped a small kiss on David’s neck.

He lay back then, nestling his head down into the pillow and pulling David closer to him.  When David was breathing deep and evenly, Timo began to talk.

It was often hard for Timo to say what he wanted to say, even to David.  He hadn’t been encouraged to share his feelings when he was growing up.  His mother had never had time to listen anyway, between her three jobs and the ever changing group of boyfriends she had.  Hearing her son’s fears and dreams hadn’t been high on her priority list. And his father.  Well, Timo’s father was often the topic of these late-night monologues.

So Timo had kept his feelings in, bottled up, until they would explode on him.  He’d spent more than his share of time in detention for destruction of property after some grievance or other had crossed that line within Timo that had made him take his aggression out on innocent trophy cases and bathroom mirrors.

It wasn’t until he and David had become lovers that Timo had finally found somewhere safe to talk about the things that bothered him, the things that hurt him, the things that moved him.  Did it really matter that David had to be asleep for Timo to talk to him?  Timo didn’t think so.  All he knew was that it was easier this way.

And so Timo began to talk, whispering into David’s soft, black hair, his breath rustling the strands, making them tickle his lips.  Some other night, he might have pushed the hairs away, but tonight he didn’t mind.  Tonight, he smiled.

“It is all because of you.  You worked so hard on this record, you work so hard for all of us. I know you wouldn‘t want me to say it because you like to say we all did it.  But this all started with you and this will always be for you.”  Timo squeezed his eyes shut and stroked David’s hip softly.

“Remember when we first met, and we were at the playground?  The ice cream man had just come by and I saw you there with your mom. I remember the coins I held in my hand were all sweaty because it was so hot, but it was all the money mom had given me, so I held on tight.  It didn’t matter, though.  I got that popsicle, and it was grape, I think, because I liked everything grape back then.  I tripped, though, and dropped it in the sand. It broke into pieces and there was no saving it. Oh man, I cried over that stupid popsicle.” Timo chuckled shortly into David’s hair and kissed his head.

“You were so upset that I was crying, Davii, and you didn’t even know me yet.  You came over and you patted my shoulder and you told me it would be okay.  And I couldn’t stop blubbering, and then I felt really stupid for crying over a silly popsicle.  You didn’t make fun of me, though.  Do you remember what you did?”  Timo pressed his forehead into the back of David’s head again, whispering softly.

“You gave me yours, Davii.”  He tightened his arms around his love, squeezing him carefully but wanting to get as close as he could possibly get, wanting to feel every inch of David against him.

“You give everything to me, David. Everything I’ve ever wanted, everything I’ve ever dreamed about.  Sometimes you knew I wanted it before I knew myself.”  Timo smiled. “And I’m really glad you’re not awake, because you would just laugh at all this crazy, girly talk and tell me to shut up.  But it’s true, and David?  I’ll find a way to give it all back to you.  I’ll find a way to give you your dreams, too.”  Timo’s eyes stung from tiredness and the emotions of the day, and he let them slide shut.

As Timo’s arms relaxed around David’s waist and he finally fell asleep, breathing deeply and murmuring into his love’s neck, David opened his eyes and smiled.
