Tom getting flustered over his date was just wonderful. Janni asking Bill if he's a boy or a girl was priceless! And poor Simone... she coped with that nicely, but yeah, way to throw that at her, Tom!
The building anticipation in those last few lines is just delicious. And I loved that little detail of Bill's hand on Tom's back as they walked through the door. There's very much a sense of equality and masculinity between the two of them, very nicely developed.
