He hated that look on his friend’s face, the look Timo always got when he thought of his mom working so hard and he knew they had to choose between food and something Timo wanted. He didn’t ask his mom for much, but sometimes he wanted to just be a kid and sometimes he just wanted the things other kids got. Broke my HEART.
But that description of what it feels like to look at someone that you really like - brilliant. Totally spot on!
