Summary: Timo's willing to risk their secret for David's kisses.

The last notes had barely stopped ringing through the basement studio when Max put his sticks on the floor next to him, “Guys, can we take a break?” he asked, breathing hard, sweat trickling down the side of his face. He didn’t wait for an answer but grunted as he slowly stood up from his stool and headed up the stairs.
Jan began fiddling with his turntable wires, since they’d noticed during the last song that there was a cut out in the sound somewhere. He ducked underneath his table, following the different colored wires with his fingers.
Linke disappeared upstairs with a mumbled, “…need some water,” and Timo’s eyes sought out David, as they had time and again since Timo’d gotten there at noon.
It was hot in the basement, the lack of air circulation being the one bad thing about using the studio as their practice space. It meant they spent a lot of time running off for more water because they sweated out almost as much as they took in, and the humid air made it difficult to breathe.
David had been down there practicing since he woke up that morning, and although it was only mid-afternoon, he was already soaked with sweat. His hair, wet and mussed, curled around his ears in dark strands, his skin glowed with moisture and the love of playing, and Timo couldn’t take just looking at him any longer.
David had just rested his guitar against the amp and he squeaked when Timo grabbed him by the wrist and pulled him into the small bathroom David’s uncle had put in.
“Timo, what—“ he began, only to be silenced when Timo pulled him closer and brought soft, warm lips to caress his own. Timo cupped his palm around the side of David’s neck, his fingers pressing gently against the nape, urging David closer.
They hadn’t been officially together for long, and their kisses were still rare and often stolen. Every opportunity found them sneaking away, needing to be together in a way that they hadn’t needed it before. Wherever they could; behind the school, walking through the park and stopping behind the big, crooked oak, or ducking into a conveniently empty room, they spent their time with their lips locked and their bellies swirling.
“Timo,” David whispered, pulling back quickly enough that their lips made a sucking sound when they parted. “Not here…not during practice.” He shook his head to emphasize his point but he didn’t unhook his fingers locked around the small of Timo’s back.
Timo leaned closer, taking David’s lead and keeping his voice quiet, “Why not here? Look, no one’s around.” He opened the door quickly and leaned out, looking all around as if to prove his point.
David looked out there quickly, as well, and Timo knew David couldn’t deny it. Sure, Jan was still messing with his turntable cords, but he wasn’t likely to see much, balled up under the table. Everyone else was gone.
“They could come back any minute.” David looked at him with pleading eyes, which Timo found nothing but adorable and he growled quietly in his throat.
“So fine,” he said, his voice low in David’s ear before he dropped a kiss there, “let them see.” Each word was punctuated by a slow kiss in a line from David’s jaw to his chin.
David couldn’t breathe, as if the kisses were stealing the breath right from him. His fingers convulsively twined themselves in Timo’s shirt as Timo buried his fingers in David’s damp hair and pulled David’s lips to his own. Timo felt David’s resolve break and he melted into Timo’s arms, opening his lips with a sigh.
Lost in each other, they forgot all about the fact they were in a bathroom. David didn’t notice the cold porcelain of the bathtub, pressed against his calves. Timo certainly didn’t notice the door swing open and then closed again.
Someone coughed just outside the bathroom door, making Timo and David jump hard, jerking away from each other, their eyes desperately seeking to look at anything but each other.
“If you guys wanna quit making out in there, we’re ready to go again.” Linke called from the other side of the door, his voice brimming with amusement.
Timo facepalmed hard and David stared at him. ‘I told you so’ couldn’t have been any more clear on his face if it had been written in permanent ink.
Several tense moments passed before Timo finally broke the silence. “Okay, okay,” he shrugged, “so they know. Now what?”
David crossed his arms over his chest and leaned his back against the wall, staring at the floor. “I don’t know.” He replied softly, before looking up at Timo. “I don’t want to deny it or pretend it’s not real, though.”
Timo quickly took the two steps he needed to get to David, who opened his arms to Timo. Sure hands brushed David’s moist hair away from his face and Timo kissed him lightly. “Oh no, it’s definitely real.”
Timo skimmed his fingers down David’s arms and took his hand. He didn’t even have to question David about how they should go out there now; he could see the nervousness in David’s eyes, but they were shining, too, and Timo’s chest swelled with the love in them.
He felt David take a deep breath, and Timo opened the door.
